Financial Accountant
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per year plus benefits.
Contract: Full-time, permanent.
De Lisle Partners is a privately owned investment management firm formed in July 2005 and specialising in US equity investments. The firm now seeks a Financial Accountant to join the team.
Key Responsibilities:
-Assisting the Investment and Financial Accountant and providing day-to-day maintenance of accounting and finance operations.
-Maintaining accounting records, including invoicing, purchase ledgers, and bank reconciliations.
-Assisting with accounting activities related to DLP funds, including trade and treasury monitoring, forecasts, fund pricing, and valuations.
-Preparing fund management information to support FX trading and the analysis of fund performance for internal and external use.
- Communicating with auditors.
- Ensuring the timely filing of annual reports and accounts.
- Maintaining daily cashflow forecasts to support effective investment management and FX trading of the funds.
- Preparing all regulatory returns, ensuring compliance with financial reporting obligations.
- Providing commercial and operational support to the team to drive the business's growth.
- Keeping the CEO/Fund Manager fully updated, providing requested information where necessary, and preparing regular analyses of fund performance for the CEO and outsourced partners.
- Remaining updated on all relevant FCA and SEC regulatory activity,
including monitoring the LLP's adherence to MiFID II, GDPR, and other applicable legislation.
- Developing, reviewing, and updating the LLP's compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they remain in line with evolving regulations.
- Conducting regular compliance audits and monitoring activities and preparing quarterly compliance reports for review and presentation to the Management Committee.
- Preparing incident reports on any compliance breaches or complaints to relevant authorities, including the FCA, when required.
- Preparing and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities.
Skills and Experience:
- Qualified or finalist accountant (ACCA or equivalent).
- Willing to work as part of a team as well as independently.
- Able to use initiative and work within the delegated environment.
- Excellent all-round communication and a willingness to share ideas and appropriately.
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to plan,prioritise and ensure implementation of work to required standards within tight deadlines and often under pressure.
