Duties include:
- Researching and identifying business opportunities
- Selling products and services to new existing business customers through various methods, developing relationships and setting up meetings
- Looking after an established base of clients, growing relationships and levels of business year on year
- Being the first port of contact for incoming enquiries
- Speaking with key contacts within businesses over the telephone and forming new contacts within those accounts
- Networking via social media and events, including attending exhibitions
- Maintaining relationships with clients by providing support, information and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities and service improvements
- Identifying product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors
- Working with internal teams to assist with projects and key clients
- Preparing reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information
- Logging information on various systems
You will need:
- Recent account management experience and success within a sales-orientated role; ability to build relationships and make a positive impact
- A proven track record of account growth; managing your own portfolio of clients
- Experience of researching and developing new business
- Creative thinking, excellent presentation and negotiation skills
- Ability to speak with key contacts, gaining increased business levels
- Experience of driving an account management programme
- Excellent telephone manner, excellent communication skills
- Drive and determination to succeed; a passion for sales and relationship-building in a fast-paced environment
