Business Development Executive
Permanent / Buckinghamshire / Office-Based / £40,000-£50,000 per annum + Commission (up to £60k OTE)
An exciting opportunity has opened for a driven and commercially minded Business Development Executive to join a fast growing organisation specialising in solutions for the healthcare, pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.
This is a highly specialised and consultative sales role, ideal for someone with a scientific background and a proven track record in technical sales. The role focuses on developing new business within the UK and Ireland, while also identifying cross-sell opportunities with an existing customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, target and close new business opportunities, primarily via phone and email
- Develop strong relationships with new and existing clients, particularly within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors
- Cross-sell technical products into existing accounts
- Attend client meetings, industry tradeshows and exhibitions (UK and international)
- Work closely with a well-established commercial team to share insights and maximise opportunities
Key Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of success in a technical sales role, ideally within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sectors
- Degree-level education with a 2:1 or above in a science related field
- Excellent communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken English
- High level of numeracy and comfort quoting in multiple currencies
- Confident using MS Excel, MS Word, and ideally CRM software
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
