Assistant Management Accountant

Sewell Wallis are proud to be working with our client, an established service sector business based near Rotherham, as they look to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant. This role will involve working as part of a small, tight knit team with the responsibility of producing the monthly management accounts for a large retail business.

  • What will you be doing?
  • Ensuring accurate information is obtained from the franchisee
  • Producing a bank reconciliation
  • Entering all expenses and receipts onto the system
  • Prepayments, Accruals, Journals, Stock/Income analysis
  • Supplier reconciliations
  • Producing P&L and Balance Sheet from a trial balance
  • Monthly Reports and general accounts analysis
  • ''Snap Shot'' forecast accounts
  • VAT returns
  • Year end analysis for statutory accounts

What experience do we need?

  • AAT or equivalent is important
  • Minimum 3 years accounts department experience
  • Excel confident
  • Sage 200
  • Ability to communicate, analyse & explain the accounts to various departments
  • Organise their own timescale and working schedule
  • High attention to detail and self-motivation
