Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
- Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 am
- Ongoing position
- London borough of Barking and Dagenham
- 90 - 105 per day
- personal care, behaviour managment, and 1:1 support for students with severe ASD
- Social, emotional & cognitive support for students with various SEMH-related needs
Day to day as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
- Supporting student/students in developing their social, emotional and cognitive skills
- Liaising with the class teacher, SENCO & wider community professionals (e.g. Educational Psychologist) to ensure students are on track
- Supporting the team in creating a progressive & welcoming learning environment
- Working with student/students in various year groups with learning disabilities (Autism, ADHD) as well as Mental Health needs
- Teaching, Supporting, & nourishing young children with ASD helping to prepare them for life
- Knowledge / experience of PECS will be very advantageous in securing this role

- Academic individual - holds a degree in a related field
- Prior experience working with students (ideal but not essential)
- Strong understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Empathetic, pro-active & ambitious (must)
