**Financial Reporting Accountant

Our client is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant with 3 to 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE) and a background ideally in audit or professional services. **Day to Day of the role:
- Completing monthly close procedures to global deadlines, including preparation and posting of month-end journals.
- Preparing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany invoices, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Taking responsibility for the preparation of UK and potentially non-UK statutory accounts for various entities.
- Supporting the UK Group audit process to ensure timely completion and filing.
- Reviewing and reconciling local GAAP/management accounts monthly, making necessary adjustments.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with external advisors, auditors, and the wider business.
- Leading the preparation and review of VAT returns and supporting other fiscal compliance matters.
- Collaborating with the wider Finance Team to ensure accurate cost allocation and compliance with tax obligations.
- Assisting with ad-hoc projects and supporting the development and mentoring of junior team members.
**Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA) with 3-5 years PQE, ideally with experience in a top-tier audit/practice firm.
- Experience in an international multi-site business
- Proficiency in overseeing the preparation of local GAAP financial statements and group financial statements in accordance with FRS 102.
- Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience in VAT preparation, review, and submission.
- Consolidation experience is advantageous.
- Professional services industry experience is desirable.
- Ability to meet deadlines with a results-oriented and proactive attitude.
