Russell-Taylor Group have a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Sales Laboratory Coordinator to join a Global Testing company within a small sales/quotations department. Even though this is classified as a Sales role, there is no cold calling' or business development involved- it will involve speaking to customers about complex quotes and working closely with the Laboratory team to understand the requirements for the quotes.
This role will involve supporting the materials testing side of the business within the Oil & gas industry and our client needs someone technical from this industry with a sales/customer facing element.
Responsibilities:
- Be in contact with clients to qualify the potential of a quote request.
- Prepare quotations with support from the testing laboratory.
- Follow-up on quotations and secure orders for the assigned customer.
- Provide clarification and modifications when required.
- Develop contacts and engage with them. This will predominately be using phone, email, and digital technology to build long lasting relationships.
- Identify current and future customer service requirements, acting as a liaison between the company and customers.
- Use the CRM to record activities and manage the sales pipeline.
The Person: -
- Previous sales/customer service experience with materials testing/materials science.
- Experience of dealing with quotes.
- Ability to multi-task and work within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience of working within a sales environment.
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Positive, confident, and determined approach
- Self-motivated with a desire to achieve targets
- Must have UK driving licence
