Job Title: Project Supervisor

Location: Home start contract with regular site travel/ stays required across the UK (fully expensed)

Duration: Initial 12 Months with scope for extension

Pay Rate: £40 per hour via Umbrella (or PAYE option also available)

About the Role

We have some exciting opportunities for a Project Supervisor specialising in Gas Quality and Metering projects across the UK. Our Client owns and operates the National Transmission system (NTS). This consists of 7600km of large diameter high pressure natural gas pipelines, gas terminals, compressor stations and above ground installations (AGI's).

This role will have end to end accountability for the definition, development, delivery, and closure of investment projects, ensuring that delivery of projects which meet all safety, environmental, functional performance, financial performance, and regulatory requirements.

**Key Accountabilities

  • Provide first line assurance, supervision, and leadership on site.
  • General overseeing and management of Health & Safety, as well as sub-contractors.
  • Collate and review Risk Assessment and Method Statements and Construction pack.
  • Lead and/or Participate in Task Briefings, Inductions and Toolbox Talks as required.
  • Management of programme and Progress Reporting to Project Manager.
  • Manage and maintain daily allocation sheets for contractors.
  • Solve issues that arise on site.
  • Undertake incident investigations and safety/technical inspections on site.
  • Undertake regular on-site audits to evaluate and assess safety and environmental protection measures implemented throughout the construction and commissioning phases.
  • Inspect quality of installation, testing and commissioning and identify defects that need rectification before completion.
  • Undertake quality assessment of electrical and instrumentation test records.
  • Collate and verify the Operational and Maintenance Manual of newly installed assets.
  • Collate and verify Explosion Protection Document pack (EPD).
  • Review and sign off red-line drawings and operational drawings to ensure accuracy of records of newly installed assets.
  • Review and verify Cyber Register and Asset Records.
  • Test and challenge Design, Installation, Test and Maintenance requirements as appropriate and highlight areas for improvement to ensure implementation of robust solution.

About You

  • Experience in Metering (Fiscal & non-Fiscal) and Gas Quality systems including Flow Weighted Average CV (FWACV), Carrier Gas Conversion, and GS(M)R
  • Understanding of Metering Supervisory and General System Control Racks, Gas Chromatograph, GasPT and GS(M)R Sensors, Odorisation System, USM, Orifice Plate and Turbine Meters.
  • Experience and understanding of Potentially Explosive Atmospheres and COMPEX.
  • Detailed understanding of the Safe Control of Operations procedures (SCO/91 & SCO/94) and has undertaken role of Competent Person.

Qualifications Required

Essential (at appointment): Educated to at least HNC level or equivalent, EUSR trained or possess equivalent passport.

Contract/Project Management experience

Desirable: Ideally supported by recognised training or qualifications in Health, Safety, Environmental and Financial management.

Understanding and Experience of ISO 10723, BS7671, BS EN 60079, BS 6739
