Job Title: Block Manager

Location: Hertfordshire
Hybrid: 2 days remote working

Salary: Up to £36,000 plus £3,000 car allowance per annum

Our client is a small, well-established company with a growing block division, looking for a motivated individual to join their team as a Block Manager. This role offers the chance to enhance your skills and contribute to the growth of their block management services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a small portfolio of residential blocks, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and top-notch service delivery.
  • Oversee statutory compliance processes, including Section 20 notices, Annual General Meetings (AGM), and service charge budget setting.
  • Effectively liaise with leaseholders, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain positive relationships.
  • Assist in the growth and development of the block management division by contributing ideas and strategies for expansion.
  • Provide support to senior management as needed, demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the block management sector is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of S20, AGM procedures and service charge budget setting.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • A proactive mindset, ready to take on new challenges and learn from experiences.
  • Relevant qualifications such as TPI or RICS are advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience using Blockman (pref.) and Excel (essential).
