As the Senior Finance Manager you will be at the forefront of the finance operations, collaborating with the Senior Finance Leadership team to ensure a seamless year end and compliance process. You'll work closely with various cross-functional stakeholders to produce robust financial statements, maintain compliance and drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare statutory financial statements with the necessary disclosures.
- Manage the year-end external audit process, ensuring efficiency and timeliness.
- Identify and mitigate financial and reporting risks, offering expert guidance.
- Collaborate across departments to assemble coherent filings ahead of deadlines.
- Provide technical accounting support to the broader team.
- Spearhead system and process enhancements to boost efficiency.
- Conduct proactive audits of processes, practices, and documents to uncover areas for improvement.
- Ensure timely mandatory external reporting such as Pay Gender and Payment Practice reports.
- Lead recruitment, induction, and training of new team members.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying enhancement opportunities.
- Participate in and contribute to management and department meetings.
Skills and Attributes:
- Practice-qualified Accountant with PQE
- Proven experience in preparing financial statements under IFRS / FRS101.
- Deep knowledge of finance requirements, controls, and risk management.
- Commitment to maintaining professional standards and staying updated with developments.
- Advanced Excel skills with impeccable attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational skills, able to work autonomously under pressure.
- Effective communicator and influencer, building positive relationships across all levels.
