Our client are a Builders Merchant providing Building Supplies to a mixture of House Builders, Contractors, Housing Associations and End Users.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Telesales department for this reputable merchant based near St Albans. They are looking for an experienced Senior Sales person from a Builders Merchants, Timber Merchants, Drainage Merchant, or potentially a Roofing Merchants who has strong building materials knowledge, and who is expereinced within sales.
The role will require you to look after a ledger of account customers for the business whilst also canvassing for new businses to help grow the branch's size and profile. You will be taking your customers through their sales process from start to finish, including liaising with the transport team and keep ing the customers updated with any changes to their delivery dates. Additionally, it is important to keep in regular contact with your customers to ensure repeat business. You will also be required to contact lapsed accounts, low spending accounts, and leads for potential account openings.
The hours of the role is 7:30am-5pm Monday to Friday and Alternative Saturday mornings 8am-12pm
Due to the nature of the business, the successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate a strong knowlege of the products, their pricing, and experience with margin management. Additionally, there will need to be a desire to go out and get sales for the business whilst maintaining the best possible margins to maximise profitability.
