Acoustic Consultant
My client is a well-established acoustic consultancy specialising in sustainable and energy-efficient architectural designs. They oversee a wide range of projects encompassing educational, residential, commercial, and leisure sectors, varying in scale and investment. Their comprehensive range of services includes acoustic modelling, design, assessments, and testing.
Requirements:
- A BSc or an MSc in Acoustics or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Full membership with the IOA
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working within the acoustic industry
- Proficiency with dispersion software (ODEON, INSUL, Soundplan, and CadnaA)
Responsibilities:
- Offer actionable remedial advice
- Undertake initial site appraisals and work with developers on fee proposals
- Undertake project management duties onsite while managing more junior consultants
- Write informative technical reports for clients
