Job Title: Care Assistant with Technology Installation Experience

Location: Wandsworth/Richmond

Job Type: Full-Time Contract - Permanent

Salary: £25,000

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Care Assistant with a background in installing and managing technology within domiciliary care settings. This unique role combines the hands-on caregiving with the ability to implement and maintain technological solutions, without the 12 hour days. All Hours are Mon-Fri, 9-5.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care: Provide high-quality personal care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
  • Technology Installation: Install, set up, and maintain various technological devices and systems used in domiciliary care, including remote monitoring systems, emergency alert devices, and communication tools.
  • Technical Support: Offer technical support and troubleshooting for both clients and care staff regarding technology-related issues.
  • Client Assessment: Assess client needs and preferences to determine suitable technology solutions that can improve their independence and quality of life.
  • Training: Train clients and their families on the use of technology, ensuring they are comfortable and confident in its operation.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of technology installations, updates, and any issues encountered, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other care professionals, including healthcare providers and technology vendors, to ensure integrated and effective care solutions.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all technology installations comply with relevant health and safety regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Care Assistant or in a similar caregiving role, with hands-on experience in installing and managing technology in a care setting.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with a range of technology used in domiciliary care, including but not limited to monitoring systems, assistive devices, and communication tools.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, their families, and other care professionals.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills to address and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Empathy: A compassionate approach to caregiving, with a genuine interest in improving the lives of clients through both personal care and technological solutions.
  • Flexibility**:** Ability to adapt to changing client needs and technological advancements.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in care, health, or a related field are preferred. Technical certifications or training related to technology in care settings is a plus.
  • Driving Licence: A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle may be required for visiting clients in their homes.
