The Supply Register is currently working in partnership with the Leigh Academies Trust of schools in the Kent area to find HLTA's to join their schools for September 2024.
The Leigh Academies Trust was formed in 2008 and exists to support and assist schools to build upon their existing strengths and to help them achieve rapid educational transformation. Today, the trust encompasses more than 20,000 students between the ages of 2 months and 19 years old in 32 primary, secondary and special academies including one all-through academy and one grammar school.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing classrooms for lessons, including setting up televisions for video presentations and sourcing books and handouts for students
- Teaching classes unassisted when needed
- Planning and delivering learning and enrichment activities, either with Teachers or independently
- Working with small groups of students or individuals needing special attention
- Assessing students' progress and discussing development with Teachers, parents, and Carers
- Consoling students who are unwell, injured or upset
- Supervising student groups on excursions and at sporting events
Requirements
- Previous experience as a HLTA
- Proof of Right to Work for the UK
- An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to process one
- Must be able to provide a minimum of two professional references
