Primary Teaching Assistant (Long Term Supply)

Academics is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teaching Assistants to join our team on a long-term supply basis in Fleet, Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work within vibrant primary school settings, supporting teachers and students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Assist with the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Work with small groups or individual students to provide targeted support in areas such as literacy, numeracy, and social development.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Assist with the preparation and organization of classroom materials and resources.
  • Supervise students during break times and off-site activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a primary school setting is desirable but not essential.
  • A passion for education and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of young learners.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school environments and with students of varying abilities.
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards professional development and learning.
