The Quality Manager will be responsible for the implementation of food safety management systems and ensure compliance with regulatory, certification and customer requirements, ensuring the highest standards of quality across site.

Our client is a well-established company within the FMCG sector, boasting a substantial workforce and are looking for a Quality Manager for their site near York. Recognised for their innovative products, they have a significant global presence and pride themselves on their commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Description

The Quality Manager will hold a key position on the site's senior leadership team and will:

  • Lead and manage the quality assurance, control, and improvement programmes across site
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality standards and procedures
  • Monitor regulatory activities and factory compliance with regulatory safety standards
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality objectives are met
  • Oversee the investigation of quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality
  • Provide training and support to staff regarding quality management
  • Create and present quality reports to senior management
  • Implement product specification systems and drive continuous improvement
  • Lead site audits

Profile

The successful Quality Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in a quality management role within the FMCG industry (ideally food or similar)
  • Excellent knowledge of quality assurance and control procedures
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Collaborative approach and with ability to influence
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Solid problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in RCA and implementing corrective actions
