Finance Manager - £60,000 - £70,000 + company benefits - Reading, Berkshire (Hybrid 3 days in the office)
FryerMiles are delighted to be partnering with a PE backed business in Reading, Berkshire to assist in hiring a Finance Manager to join this fast-growing organisation.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of all financial aspects of the company. This role has management responsibilities for the finance team and is responsible for ensuring the financial aspects of the business are managed and controlled. The role will work closely with the Financial Controller, FP&A Manager as well as the CFO to support with the running of the finance teams, whilst the business goes through this rapid growth phase.
Responsibilities Include:
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and conduct P&L variance analysis.
- Collaborate closely with the financial controller and auditors for a seamless year-end audit.
- Responsible for VAT returns and support on annual tax reporting
- Integral part of the team implementing a new accounting system
- Automate the purchase approval process and create streamlined bank feeds.
- Become the go-to person for system support within the finance team.
- Mentor and manage the small finance team
Desired Skills:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Solid understanding of financial controls, compliance, and risk management.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and thriving in a fast-paced PE backed-environment.
- Comfortable exploring financial software and ERP systems.
- Excellent communicator, ready to build strong relationships within the business
