Operational Lead

We are recruiting an Operational Lead at Healix in Esher. You will be part of the Government team.

Position Overview

Line Management – Conduct One to One and Annual Review meetings in line with company guidelines. Monitor and enhance individual performance, utilising coaching and constructive feedback to improve/celebrate individual performance in line with operational requirements.

Implement performance management techniques with direct reports as required with input from HR and Department Manager. Keep Senior Management abreast of development and performance of all direct reports.

Team performance –Understand and measure team performance, daily, ensuring team are working effectively whether at home or in office. Work with the Learning Development and Quality team (LDQ) utilising coaching as appropriate. In conjunction with Clinical Lead work with the team to improve understanding of workload and monitor phone behaviour to ensure efficient phone use throughout the team and that KPI is met.

Contract Delivery- Working with senior co-ordinators and the Management Team ensure all team KPI's are met. Be able to interpret data to develop and implement the required improvements across the team. Utilise the feedback programme to promote a culture of ‘lessons learned' and continuous improvement. Liaise with Operations Manager to ensure lessons learnt are fed back to the team. Contribute to the identification of solutions and changes required and ensure they are implemented following the quarterly satisfaction survey and FCDO Chief Medical Officer audit feedback. Understand and contribute to Quarterly KPI report. Encourage and promote use of the hub by the team.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Is able to demonstrate extensive experience in managing a leading small team of people.
  • Is able to evidence experience in managing team performance, including the identification and implementation of successful initiatives that aim to enhance and improve operational team performance.
  • Has the ability to apply a solution focussed approach with strong and problem-solving skills
  • Has extensive experience of analysing data and using data to improve individual and team performance
  • Has demonstrable experience in coaching and mentoring small teams.
  • Has excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Has a dynamic approach to both the workload and team performance. Comfortable working in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Has a positive outlook and is an influencer.
  • Has strong commercial awareness

About The Role

The Government contract at Healix is looked after by a 40-strong team, made up of Doctors, Nurses, Coordinators and Administrators. The community they look after work for a range of government departments and our services range from pre-deployment health screening to management of existing and new medical conditions whilst the employee or their family member are abroad.

We are not looking for candidates with a medical background, the focus is on good management and leadership skills. A background in the military or working in a healthcare setting is beneficial.

  • 2 Years' experience in management and leadership
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in motivating a team and driving progress

  • Experience of working in a healthcare setting
