Job Overview

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for the control and development of internal group reporting including monthly, quarterly and annual submissions to LKQ Corporation. They will also develop and produce external reporting including ONS returns and UK statutory accounts including management of UK statutory audits .

Key Responsibilities

  • Production and timely submission of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting packs to LKQ Corporation
  • Driving improvements in financial reporting pack production
  • Owner of process improvement initiatives e.g. implementation of COGNOS
  • Manager of fixed asset accounting and monthly, quarterly and annual fixed asset reporting
  • Owner of monthly intercompany reconciliation and agreement
  • Owner of accounting for new acquisitions and group structure changes
  • Owner of non trading trial balances including elimination, GAAP and legacy entities
  • Preparation of monthly USGAAP accounting adjustments
  • Guardian of SOX control compliance during close processes
  • Departmental impact assessor for changes in UKGAAP and USGAAP
  • Technical accounting expert for the finance department
  • Management of timely production and submission of Office for National Statistics returns
  • Preparation of UK statutory accounts
  • Liaison with external auditors and management of UK statutory audits
  • Ad hoc support to finance department

Skills and Experience

  • ACA or ICAS qualified
  • Superior technical accounting skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Prepared to be hands on
