Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Audit Senior to join their well-established team. Responsibilities of the Audit Senior

As an Audit Senior, your role will be pivotal in managing relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients. You'll be responsible for arranging audits, assigning team members based on their skills, and ensuring all deliverables are met within set deadlines. Your excellent communication skills will be utilised in maintaining regular contact with clients, while your leadership abilities will shine as you guide junior team members. Your commitment to quality will be evident as you oversee the completion of audit files from planning through to review.

  • Manage a portfolio of audit clients and serve as their primary point of contact
  • Arrange audit dates, stocktakes, and interim audits as required
  • Assign members of the audit team based on skills relevant to each client
  • Communicate regularly with clients to ensure all deliverables are known and received on time
  • Ensure junior team members have sufficient work and provide training and development opportunities
  • Complete audit files from planning through to review by the audit manager

What the successful candidate will bring

  • ACA/ACCA qualified
  • Group Accounting experience
  • Knowledge and exposure to FRS 102 with understanding of accounting standards relevant to small and medium size entities
  • Experience with consolidated accounts and relevant disclosures for subsidiaries
  • Strong communication skills with experience discussing audit issues with clients
  • Familiarity with CCH accounting software, MyWorkPapers, and CCH Proaudit (advantageous but not essential)
