Job Description:
We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our client's finance team in Loughborough for a maternity cover position. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be a vital contributor, responsible for delivering accurate and timely management accounts to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts for submission to the Board of Directors
- Conduct analytical reviews of financial data and present findings to the management team
- Collaborate with external auditors to produce annual statutory accounts
- Collate weekly and monthly payroll data for submission to a third-party payroll provider
- Develop and enhance financial controls and procedures
- Maintain and reconcile the balance sheet, including fixed asset registers
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and annual P11Ds and PSA returns to HMRC
- Conduct monthly cost centre reviews
- Provide support to the Financial Controller as required
Experience Required:
Essential:
- Recognized UK Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- 2-3 years of recent experience in a similar role
- Proficient in Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills
Desirable:
- Experience with Dynamics 365
