Robert Half are pleased to be exclusively recruiting a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis with an organisation based in Swindon. This role would suit someone seeking their first move into industry from practice, or someone qualified within industry who has experience of working in a regulated industry.
The role
The Financial Accountant will take a leading role in the production of annual statutory accounts for multiple UK entities. You will provide critical support to the Financial Controller, manage regulatory reporting, and collaborate closely with the tax team to ensure ongoing compliance. This is a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the business through significant change projects. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Preparing statutory accounts for multiple entities within the organisation.
- Liaising with auditors to address queries and ensure timely audit clearance.
- Providing regular updates on the status of accounts production.
- Serve as the 'go-to' for UK vs US GAAP accounting issues.
- Collaborate with the Compliance team to ensure timely reporting.
- Work closely with and provide cover for the Assistant Accountant on VAT, Corporation Tax, and Payroll Taxes.
- Assist with the integration of newly acquired subsidiaries.
- Provide analysis and reporting support to the UK Finance team as needed.
Profile
The ideal candidate will have the following skills/attributes:
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or finalist) with experience of working in audit, or a highly regulated industry.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self-driven and a team player.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards; USGAAP would be an advantage.

- £45,000 - £55,000 base salary + private health care.
