Responsibilities
- This is an exciting opportunity to join our Scunthorpe site, as a Shift Technician where you will help control our production plant, ensuring that our customers and quality demands are met.
- You will have the chance to work on one of our higher hazardous locations as Scunthorpe is a top tier Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) site giving you the learning and exposure of a highly hazardous environment and the variety of different equipment and processes.
- As a safety-first organisation, you will be responsible for ensuring that all plant operations, maintenance and associated work is carried out safely.
- This is a role in which you will collaborate closely with our Remote Operations Centre as you support the monitoring, operation and performance of the plant, suggest improvements and work as a team toproblem solve any issues.
- You will act as the emergency technician for on and offsite emergencies assisting with the implementation of site emergency plans when required.
- You will be an important member of the production team, as you actively participate in team meetings, training and local site measures and initiatives.
- Lastly, this is a great opportunity for you to gain a deep understanding of one of our key production plants providing opportunities to develop further within the team or as part of our remote operations centre.
Experience
- You have a Minimum of the following: 2 "A" Levels, ONC or HNC in an engineering discipline.
- An interest in production processes, how things are made up and work, with a level of curiosity and good problem-solving skills.
- In addition, you have great communication and interpersonal skills, in order to engage and work with others.
- You are a team player, who has the ability to self-start and work both as part of a team and independently when required.
- Furthermore, you have a passion to succeed and learn new things with the drive to take ownership of your own learning and development.
- Lastly, should you have any experience working on a process plant ideally a top tier COMAH site, this would be an advantage however it is not essential as you will have the opportunity to learn on the job and from others around you.
