Our client is looking for a Procurement Manager of a generalist indirects background to support the Head of Procurement in achieving agreed objectives in line with strategy. Ideally you will come from a Financial Services background or have some previous experience in a regulated environment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Develop a category strategy
- Lead complex sourcing activities
- Development of savings opportunities and benchmarking
- Preparation of tender documents in conjunction with key stakeholders
- Use leading practice procurement tools to develop and implement the sourcing strategies (RFI, RFP, RFQ, Analysis, etc)
- Negotiate contractual agreements with suppliers
- Manage and develop supplier relationships and ongoing negotiations
Skills and Experience:
- Understand commercial models and complex structures
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills, at all levels
- IT skills (MS software) including Excel spreadsheets (including pivot tables and charts)
- Understanding of direct and indirect categories
- Sourcing and supplier relationship management skills
- Experience of savings delivery/savings
- Experience in building and implementing strategy and change
- Demonstrable commercial awareness and experience
