Quality Manager

Elevation Engineering and Manufacturing have a unique and exciting role with a leading manufacturer, to recruit a Quality Manager at their Sheffield site. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise and experience of the manufacturing process of aerospace materials, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Reporting into the sites senior engineering team, the Quality Manager will have a large amount of autonomy to manage product quality as well as the Quality Management System.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

- Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes, reduce defects, and optimize production efficiency
- Management of team of Quality Professionals
- Provide expertise in problem-solving using A3, 8D, Kaizen and other approaches.
- Manage quality defects and liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve them

The Quality Manager should possess:

- Ability to manage in fast paced manufacturing facility
- Knowledge of Six Sigma and continuous improvement tools
- Strong knowledge of metallurgy, metal forming processes, and quality assurance principles.
- Proven track record of implementing and managing quality control systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of AS9100, NADCAP and ISO 9001 requirements
