This is a varied role where as Finance Assistant you'll be handling all aspects of finance for a digital marketing business, therefore some comparable experience would be advantageous. You'll be AAT Level 2 qualified and experience of Xero and Dext is ideal.
The operations team is small, supportive and friendly, and you'll work with all areas of the business and our Managing Director and Finance Manager. It's a hands-on role and we all pull our weight to achieve the objectives. You'll need to be in the Lichfield office at least once a week, homeworking is available for the other days.
The ability to communicate with everyone in the business is essential, from the CEO to MD and all delivery teams, collaboration and strong communication is the key to success in this role. You will be comfortable speaking to clients, finance teams and other external partners to query invoices, chase payments, verify charges and payments and more.
Responsibilities of the role

Credit control

Invoice checking - fee income

Checking invoices, we use Dext, Approvalmax and Xero

Client budgets - ensuring always up to date

Communications over credit control / invoicing / click costs

Running reports and providing information to the business as needed

Liaise with accountants throughout month

Dealing with month end queries on costs, income, invoices etc

Monthly P&L review, cost review and resolve queries

Support on payroll processing (external provider)

Cover all aspects of finance:

Essential Skills and Experience
- AAT Level 2 qualified as a minimum
- Proficient in the use of Xero and Dext and Approval max in an ideal world
- Used to working in a fast-paced multi transactional environment
- Experience in a comparable sized business
- Strong credit control skills and experience
- Confident in dealing with clients, external advisors and senior manager
