We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Administrator to join our client's team at Oliver House School and Ribble Autism School. This is a varied role where a can-do approach and flexibility are essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth running of the schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing and reconciling petty cash for Oliver House School and Ribble Autism School.
  • Updating training records and ensuring staff are up to date with online learning and induction training.
  • Coordinating induction training, booking venues, and confirming courses with the Head Office.
  • Requesting IT log on for new staff from Aspris Central Services.
  • Sourcing appropriate equipment for the schools as and when required.
  • Raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers regarding invoices and credit notes.
  • Managing subscription renewals.
  • Handling adhoc BACs payments.
  • Providing reception cover at least one day per week and as required.
  • Arranging lunches for visitors and ordering sandwiches.
  • Assisting with shopping for the kitchen when orders are short.
  • Supporting teachers and teaching assistants with supplies and class group requests.
  • Maintaining and auditing health and safety files.
  • Conducting medical room checks and completing necessary paperwork.

Requirements:

  • Basic accounts experience, particularly in managing petty cash.
  • Confidence in answering telephones and taking accurate messages.
  • Understanding of safeguarding due to the vulnerability of pupils.
  • Valid driver's licence.
  • Term-time availability plus two weeks preferably at the end of the summer holidays.
  • Proven ability to work well in a school environment and handle tasks as requested.

Working Hours and Salary:

This is a part-time position, working 32.5 hours per week, from 9 am to 3.30 pm, five days per week. Some flexibility may be considered to accommodate childcare needs. The annual salary for this role is £17,873 based on a pro-rata rate of £11.72 per hour.
