Prospero Teaching is currently on the lookout for candidates with an interest in working with students with behaviour and a candidate with an interest in education. Specifically, we're seeking individuals who have an interest in Special Education Needs and a degree. Whether you have a degree in Psychology or some experience in life with young people who have learning needs, please reach out!

An all-girls, secondary school in Muswell Hill are seeking graduates to work as teaching assistants on a full-time basis. You will likely have a degree and interest in working with students with learning needs including but not limited to Autism, Dyslexia, Speech and Language needs, Behaviour needs and others

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will be working in a secondary school environment with 11 - 16-year-olds who require continuity, positive role models, patience and understanding.

WHAT DOES THE BEHAVIOUR MENTOR role require:
Supporting the class teacher and students during lessons
Build a rapport with 5 - 6 students with specific needs and implement strategies to nurture, engage and raise attainment in their secondary years
1:1 tuition sessions supporting your subject specialism
Running intervention groups in your subject area to build their knowledge of the subject

WHAT SUPPORT WILL I BE GIVEN AS A BEHAVIOUR MENTOR?
Youll be given training, guidance and support by an experienced consultant at Prospero and our Training and Development Team (all experienced teachers) as well as from the school themselves.
A programme of FREE Training and CPD sessions are also offered.
SCHOOL SUPPORT:
You will be provided with resources and strategies to support learners, behaviour management training, group and 1:1 training from qualified, experienced passionate staff.

BEHAVIOUR MENTOR ROLE

  • Full-time school hours, 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday.
  • You will be required to run an after-school club once a week until 4.30pm and attend a departmental meeting once a week.
  • The role is paid weekly at a daily rate of GBP105 per day and can become a permanent post in the future.
