Lettings/Sales Negotiator

Our clients are now expanding their existing business into house sales and lettings which represents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to be involved from day one.

Main purpose of the job:

We are currently recruiting for an exciting new opportunity for a Sales Negotiator/Estate Agent to build the branch, market share and reputation initially in the Durham Area. Within the role you will work alongside a dedicated team and provide a high level of customer service and administration support.

The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and will thrive within a fast-paced sales environment. Working both as part of a team and independently is key to this position and the ability to prioritise tasks accordingly is essential.

Specific duties & responsibilities:

  • Registering applicants, matching requirements and maintaining records
  • Arranging viewing appointments and gaining feedback
  • Negotiating with potential buyers
  • Building a strong rapport with sellers and prospective buyers
  • Liaising with solicitors, surveyors, and other professional contacts
  • Obtaining local market information to assist with Market Appraisals
  • Launching properties to the market
  • Provocatively seeking new properties and sales opportunities
  • Providing marketing content
  • Engage in social media and other marketing
  • Achieving sales targets
  • Meeting financial services referral targets
  • General Admin Duties

Person specification:

  • Experience in estate agency essential
  • Sound knowledge of and experience in sales and customer service necessary
  • Career focused individual with a strong work ethic and customer focus, and a want to join a successful and growing business
  • Dynamic communicator with outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, combined with a passion for property
  • Energetic, enthusiastic & entrepreneurial, with a natural flair for dealing with people and the ability to build strong relationships
  • Pro-active thinker who maximises opportunities
  • A team player who enjoys a challenging role that moves at a fast pace: no two days will ever be the same
  • Excellent standard of written English language and attention to detail
  • Good IT skills and ability to adapt to new technologies
  • Experience and general knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines
  • Full UK driving licence

Experience:

  • Estate Agency: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
  • Standard DBS (preferred)
  • any Estate Agency Qualifications (preferred)

Basic Salary £25,000 - £30,000 a year, dependent uncapped OTE.

9:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday, alternate Saturdays 9:00am - 3:00pm (day off in lieu).

Please note that some evening work will be required with time off in lieu.
