Senior Linux Kernel Developer

Fully home working opportunity with a Leading Semi Conductor firm working on a next generation of Microchip developments and have a long term (2 Years), QDOS assessed OUTSIDE IR35 contract opportunity for an experienced developer to work with them on the next generation of release for industrial application.

This position provides the opportunity to work at the forefront of the technology using Yocto 5.0 and later.

Any experience with the following is also beneficial;

  • Porting BSPs
  • Providing driver support for System on Chip I.P. Blocks
  • Porting Yocto versions
  • Yoctoproject
  • Kernel/Driver development
  • Drivers for complex I.P. ( e.g I2C, PCI, USB3)
  • Back porting driver support to CIP (beneficial)
  • Scarthgap/Dunfell (beneficial)
  • Community maintainers (beneficial)
  • Up-streaming (beneficial)

The project is set to last 2+ years on a fully home working basis and the client is able to arrange an interview with any suitable candidates from the 25th September for a start in October (this can be flexible for the right person).

The work is in view of joining on a fully home working OUTSIDE IR35 basis and the client can offer the contract following a one stage TEAMS interview.
