Your new role

Role Overview:

The role of Senior Manufacturing Engineer is to identify, develop scope, specify, and implement operational and transactional performance improvement projects in order to improve customer service, reduce manufacturing costs and reduce lead times. Reporting to the Director of Engineering the Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for:

Key Accountabilities:

  • Identify, develop scope, and implement operational and transactional improvement projects.
  • Management of ERP manufacturing master data, process, and system maintenance.* Realization of advanced manufacturing processes and technologies including robotics and automation.* Project leadership and management of business improvement projects and installations.
  • Time study and process improvements through standard work and maintenance of ERP system data to ensure planning and manufacturing accuracy and efficiency.
  • Optimize ERP master data to accurately reflect manufacturing process.
  • Business improvement support and OPEX.
  • Power BI Operational development support.
  • Data analytics creation, systemisation & management.
  • Lean Principles Champion in conjunction with Lean Specialist.
  • Project Management, Gantt chart and Gateway review and relevant contractor management.
  • CX preparation and submission and management.
  • Conceptualisation, development and installation of automation.
  • Technical support of project & NPI implementations.

Associated Responsibilities:

  • Support of all other engineering related activities as required.
  • Provision of works instructions and training material as per all new or modified processes.
  • Process trouble shooting and development within ERP system and production.
  • Other projects as defined appropriate including CRH based initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

Experience and Training:

  • In depth experience within a manufacturing or industrial engineering role in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Candidates must be technically advanced with the ability to manage complexity, communicate effectively and work collaboratively.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing concepts and implementation.
  • Experience in Project Management
  • High level IT skills including proficiency in full MS Office suite, Adobe Pro, Advanced Excel an understanding of, and ability to utilise, digital communications tools such as email and intranets.
  • Knowledge of Value Stream Mapping
  • Experience in SQL database queries

Essential Criteria:

  • Candidates must be educated in an engineering discipline, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering preferable.* Candidates must have experience in the use of key data analysis software's for example Power BI.* Candidates must have experience in setting up and using of Epicor or similar ERP systems.
