Walker and Sloan are proud to be working for an established PR and Communications Agency in Gloucestershire, as they are keen to bring on a Senior PR Account Manager to their team on a full time basis. The role can be hybrid in their HQ.

The role of Senior Account Manager

Job profile:

The role of the Senior Account Manager is to expand client relationships and use their initiative to drive accounts and the agency forward, suggesting new ideas for products and services and more efficient and effective ways of working, in terms of account delivery and people management.
The Senior Account Manager will be more experienced and have honed all the skills and capabilities of Account Manager, while starting to demonstrate some of the basic skills of Account Director.

Key duties and responsibilities:

A Senior Account Manager must be competent in all the skills outlined in the Account Manager profile. The difference that the seniority brings to the role is one of experience.
Additional responsibilities and expectations of the Senior Account Manager include:

  • Maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients
  • Contributing to effective monthly forecasting, hitting income targets and having an appreciation of monthly fee earner capacity versus output (i.e. over and underservice)
  • Preparing a business case and securing internal management approval for new initiatives that will increase revenue and/or efficiency
  • Maintaining a consistent level of high-quality service across a portfolio of client accounts, using experience and creative thinking to evolve the account, keeping it fresh and exceeding client expectations
  • Working closely with the team to get the best results out of the relationships
  • Being able to run a brainstorming session and understanding the value of creativity on an account
  • Attending and presenting at client meetings and internal meetings to aid new business development.
