JOB- Estimator
LOCATION- Coventry
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience
design and manufactures a range of bespoke commercial rooms for a variety of clients. They are looking for an Estimator with strong customer-facing skills to join their team near Coventry on a permanent basis.
The Estimator will ideally have the following attributes:
- Minimum 1-5 years' experience working as a technical Estimator
- Knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication, welding, machining and similar materials
- Experience/understanding of 3D CAD Packages would be beneficial
- Able to understand technical drawings and produce detailed quotations
- Strong customer facing skills, with the ability to develop relationships
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient with using Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and problem-solving ability
- The ability to work well alone as well as part of a team
The Estimator role will involve:
- Working to technical drawings and models to produce detailed quotations
- Reactive sales, answering phone calls and emails
- Maintaining and developing relationships with customers
- Converting successful quotes into orders
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Working within the Sales team
- Feeding back cost data into estimating tools and then keeping these updated
- Getting sign off from all disciplines so that you can deliver against the prepared budget
