You will be the principal day-to-day accountant in the rapidly growing subsidiary of a global group, developing financial reports, implementing new billing systems, and preparing monthly management accounts.

What you'll do:

As a Management Accountant, your primary responsibility will be to support the growth of the business by developing a comprehensive suite of financial reports. You will work closely with Senior Personnel, providing data reflecting business activity, identifying areas of risk and opportunities. Your role will also involve implementing robust processes, systems, and routines to enable strong financial control. You will be expected to demonstrate ownership of financial processes to complete and improve effectively.

  • Manage the Budget/Forecasting process including preparation of Budgets/Forecasts
  • Complete the month-end close in line with reporting deadlines
  • Ensure Management Accounts accuracy through key controls and reconciliations
  • Oversee the billing and collections process
  • Implement and improve financial processes ensuring compliance with SRA requirements
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage cash flow
  • Produce regulatory returns including FCA returns, ONS returns, and VAT returns
  • Develop a suite of financial reports to be used in the management of the business

The ideal candidate for this Management Accountant position is someone who can demonstrate a sound knowledge of financial reporting policies and procedures. Your strong analytical skills coupled with your excellent attention to detail will enable you to deliver high-quality analysis and insights. You should have the ability to organise, manipulate, and present large volumes of data using Excel spreadsheets. Strong communication skills are essential as you will need to develop strong business partnering relationships with the management team.
