The Job...
Working in schools across North Staffordshire, Stoke on Trent, and Newcastle under Lyme, your role will be part teaching classroom assistant, and part pastoral support worker.
Never a day the same as the last, you will be responsible for supporting the classroom teacher to enable them to teach effectively- ensuring that the children you will care for are kept on task, helped to manage their behaviour, and to engage and communicate with their peers and teachers.
You'll be emotionally resilient, and able to handle whatever challenges the day throws at you. You'll be driven, determined, and passionate about setting up the children for the best possible lives.
You'll Be...
- Experienced working with young people with SEMH, autism, ADHD, or other disabilities and needs
- Able to hold student attention and focus with excellent communication skills
- Promote happiness, self-reliance and encourage positive interactions
