Our client is looking a Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is paying a competitive salary and offers hybrid working - 1 day a week in their Manchester office.
Working hours are 9-5:30pm, however, the team offer flexible working.
Summary
As Finance Assistant you will be responsible for overseeing cash-flow through monitoring and analysis of company financial data, creating financial reports, and offering valuable insights to support the company's overarching strategy. They will collaborate across departments, particularly in assisting the sales team with finance-related matters, and proactively ensure the department remains informed about industry updates and trends.
Skills and experience needed:
- Accounts Receivable experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Professional level of customer service both internally and externally
- Familiarity with different currencies and foreign exchange charges
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with financial reporting and analysis
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Great Plains
- Ethical and compliant with legal rules and procedures
- Excel experience – (Pivot Tables/ V Look Ups)
- Strong team player and willingness to learn
- Knowledge on Tax/VAT
- Experience invoicing and double entry
- Experience supporting with month end processes/reporting
