We are currently seeking a highly motivated Finance Assistant to join our Finance department. The ideal candidate will ensure that transactions processed through the purchase and sales ledger are completed in a timely and accurate manner, contributing to the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Process purchase ledger and inventory invoices efficiently.
- Manage timely payments to suppliers and maintain credit control.
- Handle customer receipts and bank payments with precision.
- Create and post general ledger journals to maintain accurate financial records.
- Raise debit notes for intercompany accounts as required.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.
- Manage accruals and prepayments to support accurate financial reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education to GCSE standard as a minimum requirement.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- 3-5 years of experience in a finance role with similar responsibilities.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent numerical and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
