About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is seeking dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis in primary schools across Doncaster and the surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN) while enjoying the flexibility of supply work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with special educational needs
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Support the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Help manage classroom behavior and promote positive social interactions
- Adapt teaching materials and methods to meet the needs of individual students
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is essential
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
