Job Purpose:
As a Construction Tutor, you'll be designing, delivering, and developing a construction study programme for small groups of students (up to 6). You'll be teaching City and Guilds courses from Entry Level 3 to Level 1, covering various trades like brickwork, blockwork, paving, painting and decorating, tiling, and basic joinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop engaging and effective teaching practices.
- Assess students according to City and Guilds standards.
- Create and refresh training programmes.
- Keep an eye on resources and help students use them effectively.
- Tutor small groups and support their learning journey.
- Provide clear and helpful feedback on student progress.
- Monitor attendance and encourage positive behaviour.
- Stay current with City and Guilds requirements.
- Implement quality procedures and contribute to programme reviews.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance.
- Participate in ongoing professional development.
- Uphold and promote company policies, including Equality & Diversity and Health & Safety.
- Comply with safeguarding policies.
- Stay updated with new legislation and techniques.
- Participate in relevant City and Guilds activities.
- Represent the company in a professional manner.
- Maintain a tidy and safe workshop.
