I am inviting applications for a passionate Year 2 Teacher to join the team of a lovely school I am supporting in Rotherham. The school are an average size with lower-than-average pupil premium and a solid Ofsted rating. It is a beautiful little school a 5-minute drive away from the gorgeous Yorkshire countryside. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the educational journey of Year 2 pupils and work within a supportive school environment. The school are keen to support new teachers entering the sector and would welcome ECT's to apply for the role.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan and deliver creative and stimulating lessons that meet the educational needs of Year 2 pupils.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning and development.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages pupils to engage and participate actively.
- Implement classroom management strategies to maintain a structured and disciplined atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school's objectives.
- Engage with parents and guardians to support the overall well-being and academic progress of the pupils.
- Participate in school events, training, and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification recognised in the UK.
- Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1, with a particular focus on Year 2.
- A thorough understanding of the UK National Curriculum and current teaching methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with pupils, staff, and parents.
- A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
