Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the 2-year-old phase, ensuring high standards of care and education.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate activities that meet the needs and interests of 2-year-old children.
  • Monitor and assess the progress and development of children, maintaining accurate records and providing regular feedback to parents and carers.
  • Support and mentor staff within the 2-year-old phase, promoting best practices in early years education.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment that supports the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to meet the diverse needs of children and their families.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • A relevant early years qualification (e.g., Level 3 Early Years Educator, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, or equivalent).
  • Significant experience working with young children, particularly within the 2-year-old age group.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and support a team.
  • A thorough understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and child development principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to engage in training and development opportunities.
  • A passion for early years education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences.
