Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Exciting Opportunity to Work Alongside SEN ASD Pupil

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with experience working with students on the autism spectrum? Perhaps you've a passion for making a positive impact on a young person's life through education and support? If so, we have a rewarding opportunity for you!

Tradewind Recruitment are working alongside a reputable secondary school based in Borehamwood to find a caring LSA to work closely with an SEN ASD pupil starting school in Year 7 from September.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to the SEN ASD pupil in classroom activities
  • Assist in implementing personalised learning plans to suit the pupil's needs
  • Support the pupil in social interactions and the development of social skills
  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN staff to assess the pupil's progress
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for the pupil

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have previous experience working as an LSA with students on the autism spectrum
  • Possess a genuine passion for education and supporting young learners
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Show adaptability, patience, and a positive attitude
  • Are committed to continuous professional development and learning
