Electrical Technician

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician, also known as a Panel Wirer, to join our Electrical Manufacturing department. The role involves testing, inspection, and assembly of electrical and pneumatic panels, machine wiring, and three-phase mains supply connections. The ideal candidate will have excellent soldering skills and be proficient in using electronic test equipment, adhering to the correct standards and regulations.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Conduct fault finding and diagnostics to component level, including PLCs, PCBs, DC Power Supply Units, and three-phase motors/isolators/MCBs.
- Assemble air regulators and air-actuated valve and solenoid assemblies.
- Pick parts from electrical stores for assigned jobs.
- Perform field service tasks within the UK and overseas to assist in the installation or repair of equipment.
- Assist in purchasing electrical consumables to ensure continuous production.
- Advise and oversee electrical work carried out by assemblers and technicians, ensuring safe practice.
- Liaise with various company departments and customers as required.
- Undertake any other related technical work as required by the company.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role.
- Good computer skills and willingness to learn the company's stock management system.
- Experience with ultrasonics is advantageous.
