Your new company
Are you a HLTA on the lookout for your next role? Maybe you'd like to work on a part-time basis or have a better worklife balance? If so, Hays could have the perfect role for you. We have been approached by a local school in Wigan looking to secure a HLTA Cover Teacher to work on a part-time basis at the school. The ideal candidate would be available 2 or 3 days a week and will be available to start in November. The school is open to conversation surrounding the days worked. This is an Ofsted rated 'Good' school and is popular through the community for its commitment to its pupils and their well-being.

Your new role
This role is to support class teachers who need to take time out of their days to plan and prepare lessons, as well as providing small group sessions for pupils who are behind or struggling with their work. When supporting the class teacher, you will be required to cover lessons when they are absent and also work with them to create intervention work for pupils who are struggling. You will also be required to assist children with extra reading sessions when needed. You will be required to work across a range of KS1 and KS2 classes, so you should be flexible and adaptable in your approach. Experience working as a HLTA is preferred.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you should have higher level TA experience as well as full class cover experience. You should be enthusiastic, approachable and be able to hit the ground running. Good knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum is preferred, but the school will also consider NQT/ECT's.

What you'll get in return
In return, you will be paid a highly competitive daily rate and will be working in this successful school where you will become an integral part of a welcoming team of TA's. You will therefore have the opportunity to further develop your own teaching assistant skills and experience.
