Financial Reporting Manager

CMA is delighted to exclusively assist an esteemed local business in the search for a Financial Reporting Manager. This pivotal role is responsible for the financial governance through thorough control frameworks and detailed understanding of the company's balance sheets, representing an exciting opportunity to evolve, design and implement financial reporting and statutory accounting processes.

This position comes at an opportune time as the company embarks on a new chapter under a well-known management team, recognised by CMA. What will the Financial Reporting Manager role involve?

  • Robust review of balance sheet reconciliations to ensure balances are understood and following up actions with other members of the finance team to clear outstanding balances.
  • Oversee the bank matching and monthly reconciliation process carried out by other members of the finance team.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts for audited and audit exempt entities.
  • Preparation of tax packs.
  • Alongside the Financial Controller lead the year-end financial audit.
  • Working with external auditors to resolve queries to achieve sign off.
  • Assist with production of annual budgets, 5-year plan and periodic forecasting.
  • Assist Financial Controller with ad hoc reporting and requests for data.
  • Work with the FD and FC to design and implement efficient and effective financial controls to provide assurance of compliance to both internal and external parties.
  • Ad-hoc tasks and deputising for the Financial Controller as required.

Suitable Candidate for the Financial Reporting Manager vacancy:

  • Experience overseeing financial governance.
  • Experience implementing control frameworks and guidance.
  • Experienced in completing balance sheet reconciliations for multiple entities.
  • Qualified Accountants from industry, practice or QBE will be considered.
  • Collaborative approach.
