This full-time role has a starting salary of £40,929 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week.

Applications from Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSW) will be considered - the salary for a NQSW is £36,817 per annum, rising to £40,929 upon completion of your ASYE year. The team is based in Quadrant Court, 35 Guildford Road, Woking, however it is our intention to move within the local area to Victoria Gate in Central Woking later this year. About the Team

We are a caring and committed team serving residents living in Woking who find themselves in need of drawing on care and support. We work with residents who are over 65 who may need care and support, as well as those 65 and younger who have physical disabilities, illness or sensory impairments.

The team works closely with carers, family members and partner organisations to enable residents to live their best possible lives, without leaving anyone behind. We are committed to ensuring carers and family members feel supported, given the vital role they perform in the life of those who matter most to them.

We are a professional team made up of Social Care and Occupational Therapy Assistants, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists. We are a team committed to learning and development, at both an individual and team level - this is a priority for us.

About the Role

We are looking for a range of enthusiastic and dynamic qualified and registered Social Workers with a variety of skills and experiences undertaking duty, S9 assessments, Mental Capacity Assessments and S42 Enquires.

The role is varied and complex, and no two days are the same! You will work across various unique projects that ensure the people we support can enjoy a home of their own, and an environment in which they are supported to live a healthy and meaningful lifestyle.

Shortlisting Criteria

To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:

  • Professional qualification in Social Work and current registration with Social Work England
  • An understanding and experience of working in a strengths-based approach
  • Knowledge of current legislation such as the Care Act and The Mental Capacity Act
  • Experience in Assessment, the preparation of support plans and reviewing outcomes
  • Experience of undertaking safeguarding enquiries and examples of you using your professional judgement in complex situations
  • Commitment to your own professional development

Surrey has both urban and rural areas and locality based social care workers will be expected to have a valid driving licence to drive in the UK and access to a vehicle and be willing to travel across a wide geographical area.
