Job Description:
We are urgently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality science education, fostering students' curiosity, and contributing to their overall development and well-being. This position is essential for maintaining a safe, stimulating, and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging and dynamic science lessons that inspire a love for the subject
- Planning and tailoring the curriculum to meet diverse student needs
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Assisting with lesson preparation and effective classroom management
- Providing targeted support to students who need additional help
- Supervising students during school activities, including break times and field trips
- Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential
- Participating in school events, meetings, and ongoing professional development
- Creating an inclusive classroom environment that encourages all students to participate
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
- A strong passion for science and education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Experience teaching science at the secondary level is desirable but not essential
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training (issued in the last year)
Eligibility:
- Right to Work in the UK
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willing to process a new application
- Two professional child-related references
