European Credit Structuring is a cross product structuring team, working alongside Deutsche Bank's market leading Global Credit Financing & Solutions (GCFS) business. The team comprises product specific specialists from a broad range of professional backgrounds, working along-side traders to execute transactions of a particularly complex and structured nature.

Members of the structuring team are aligned with GCFS business units, including Transportation, Infrastructure & Energy, Direct Lending, Asset Backed Securities and Credit Solutions. They are expected to participate in the origination, structuring and execution of non-standard transactions.

We are presently seeking an associate level team-member to support the Infrastructure and Energy financing business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in structuring innovative financing solutions in rapidly developing sectors including:

traditional and social infrastructure, such as airports, roads, electrification / EV charging, educational and social facilities digital infrastructure, encompassing telecoms, fibre networks, and data centres energy transition and renewable energy assets, in particular solar PV and wind energy

You will be expected to contribute to the full deal lifecycle, develop broad financing expertise and deep sector knowledge. Over the course of time, you will grow into a well-rounded credit structurer.

Your key responsibilities

  • Credit analysis and modelling of opportunities covering traditional asset-based financing as well as forward flow acquisition / financing
  • Coordination of internal approvals and managing deal Q&A with internal stakeholders
  • Deal execution, liaising with clients and external advisors (including technical and legal advisors) to ensure a smooth and well organised transaction process
  • Preparation of information memoranda for internal and external parties, including investment committee, credit committee and lender syndicate
  • Support origination efforts by contributing to client presentations and pitches

Your skills and experience

  • Substantial experience and understanding of cash-flow modelling, as well as key legal and accounting concepts
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to convey ideas effectively and work in diverse teams
  • Capability to work independently and under pressure, prioritising tasks and being proactive in taking the lead and initiative in moving transactions forward
  • Motivation to acquire skills in legal structuring and documentation negotiation
  • High levels of competence using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency in English and Italian, however other languages are welcomed
