Role Overview:

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Finance Manager to join a dedicated and friendly accounts team in Folkestone. This role supports the Head of Finance, leading the finance team in all areas of financial control and management reporting, with significant potential for role development as the company grows.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee budgetary control and reporting.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and cashflow forecasts.
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and controls.
  • Supervise payroll processing for over 200 employees, ensuring adherence to VAT, PAYE, and pension regulations.
  • Handle sales invoicing and address queries with funders.
  • Manage purchasing, invoice processing, approval, and payment for all services.
  • Process credit card statements and petty cash.
  • Resolve queries and ensure their proper resolution.
  • Prepare VAT returns.

Candidate Profile:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Enjoys teamwork and has a friendly, approachable manner.
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the role's demands.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A qualified accountant with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
  • Familiarity with SAGE Line 50 is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
