Ward/Dept: Children and Young People's Therapies

Hours: Up to37.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Mon - Fri, 8.30-4.30pm

Pay Rates - Day: £22.89

This is an exciting time for Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust as they are recruiting for a creative Band 6 Occupational Therapist to be a part of their well-established Occupational Therapy team. You will provide a specialist Occupational Therapy assessment, treatment, intervention, and advice service for children with a variety of learning and physical disabilities, associated sensory and communication difficulties. This may include working within the Child Development Centres, mainstream and special schools, nurseries and play groups, families' homes, and visits to other services such as the wheelchair clinic.

Responsibilities of this job role

  • Provide a highly specialist Occupational Therapy assessment, intervention, and advice service for children & young people whose sensory processing is impacting on their participation in activities of everyday living and access the service via a 3-tiered offer (universal, targeted and specialist).
  • This will include working with parents/carers, educational settings, the voluntary sector, and other health professionals. You may need to work within the children's centres, educational settings, and homes.
  • Supervise, train and performance manage junior, and student occupational therapists as delegated by the Operational Manager and Clinical Quality Leads.

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

HCPC Registered.

Car driver essential.

Degree in Occupational Therapy.

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of
